SafeSip Selected For Mastercard Foundation FAST Program II
Morogoro, Tanzania — SafeSip, a social enterprise dedicated to providing safe and affordable drinking water solutions, is thrilled to announce that it has been selected for the Building Stage of the Mastercard Foundation Fund for Alumni Start-ups in Transition (FAST) Program).
This prestigious program provides growth-stage alumni-led ventures with tailored funding and hands-on business development support to help them scale their impact sustainably. SafeSip will receive grant funding, business advisory services, and mentorship delivered exclusively by Inkomoko Entrepreneurs, the program’s implementation partner.
SafeSip’s Chief Operating Officer, Costantine Edward, will directly participate in the program’s activities, including strategy workshops, peer learning, and investor readiness sessions.
“We are honored to have been selected for the Building Stage of the Mastercard Foundation FAST Program,” said Costantine Edward. “This support comes at a critical time as we work to expand access to clean water for thousands more households across Tanzania. We’re grateful for the opportunity to learn from Inkomoko’s experienced mentors and to grow our impact.”
The Building Stage is the program’s second phase, offering up to USD 15,000 in funding to help alumni entrepreneurs strengthen their operations, refine their business models, and prepare for sustainable scale. The program aims to unlock the potential of ventures launched by alumni of Mastercard Foundation programs, the Anzisha Prize, African Leadership Academy, YALI, and other affiliated networks.
With this fund, SafeSip aims to reach 10,000 more communities in the near term and impact 1 million people by 2030 through expanded access to safe drinking water.
